The size of the picture is determined by the photo size and the detail that can be seen is greatly affected by the resolution of the image. According to Visuals Clipping, appropriate dimensions that correspond to the available image resolution maintains print qualities, usually, a high-resolution photograph will not have a soft or pixelated appearance when printed large and vice versa, a low-resolution photograph will appear soft or pixelated when printed larger. Therefore, both the print size and the size of the original file in pixels are important to consider.
